How to Take a Good Mental Health Day Off

Choose your Day, and Remind yourself that is perfectly OK for you to have a day for your wellbeing. Life can be busy and stressful enough without having justify to self or others why you are taking a day out. Remind yourself you can do as little or what you like, or start a personal project if you choose, but it’s your time; you can sit and watch the sea, trees and birds, or read a book if you wish, have a cup of tea and do nothing else, there is nothing that you have to achieve; reduce your expectations; notice the quietness for a change. You are not wasting time; you are living in your time for you.

The Starter’s Guide to Meditation

You can begin by doing what I call daily “Micro Meditations”; Just for a few minutes, sit, close your eyes if you want, notice how your body feels and your breathing, hear the sounds around you, let your thoughts and judgements come and go; you don’t have to change or fix anything or even get to feel better; just sit and notice what it is like to be you for a while.
